CSK on Ebay

Post by mbishton »

Hi guys,

Just noticed this one on ebay. Doesn't look the cheapest as it's spares or repairs as its sold with no doors or interior (seats will be a nightmare to find I imagine) as one sold on ebay that was a very nice original car last month for around £4.5k, so £3k for this seems a bit steep, but thought I'd post the link to see if anyone could make use of it!

Hard to say since the one photo doesn't tell us much about the condition. It seems daft to me to take the doors off a CSK and fit them to a prototype RR since they're completely different - ruining two classics at oncer in my opinion - but I guess there must be a reason for this decision. But will anyone spend £3k on a car now missing some of the hardest bits to replace? We'll see...

If the rest of the shell/chassis was good then it might be useful to one of us of course, but I'm guessing it is far from pristine or it wouldn't be being broken. Then again, that guy up in Ely, Cambs broke a CSK a couple of years back apparently to try and realise more for the parts than he reckoned he'd get for the car intact. I hope he didn't!!!

...I think I've deciphered all the above posts...

Essentially, this CSK sale was also being discussed on the RRR forums, and it appears the owner has been persuaded NOT to break the CSK (or the Velar) up, and will sell both of them complete at the end of Feb. :)
CSK 109: Genuinely 34K miles, genuinely unrestored, genuinely in need of some TLC.
