Offers invited for CSK number 2

by chrispayne » Sat Jan 12, 2008 5:46 pm

Greetings fellow CSK lovers.
Sadly, my beloved CSK has to go to. Many of you are familiar with no.2 and now's your chance to get your hands on this unique example. Many recent improvements including a handmade Connolly leather headlining !
For all the info you could ever want, visit my webpage http://www.the-tree-doctor.com, and then find the correct page by adding /csk.htm at the end of the web address in your browser.
Offers invited.
Yours

I made an error in the information included in the website details on my CSK, at www.the-tree-doctor.com/csk.htm
I wrote in the second line of the information that it was for auction and then at the end of the description I wrote that I was open to offers. Confusing isn't it !! Sorry.
It isn't for auction. If you are interested, you should make me an offer and I'll decide if I can accept it. Several people have asked what sort of figure I'll accept. I believe it to be worth £8500, so that is the kind of offer I'm looking for.
I am going to take some pictures and put them on that website at the weekend so you can all see her beauty.
Apologies for any confusion.

Hi!

Do you have pictures available, especially from the interior? Isn't a dark brown headlining somewhat dark and depressive?

Cheers

Pictures now on website for CSK 2

by chrispayne » Thu Jan 24, 2008 2:47 pm

Just to let you know that I have now added pictures to the description on my website (address given earlier). There are about 45 high resolution pics so the page can take a little while to download !

It seems eBay isn't the place to sell CSKs - none of them ever seem to reach what they're worth. I think more have been sold through these forums than on eBay.
CSK 109: Genuinely 34K miles, genuinely unrestored, genuinely in need of some TLC.

Or there is a mismatch between what enthusiasts believe their CSK is worth and what other people are wiling to pay for an old 2-door Range Rover. Looking at #2 you see a Range Rover in good nick that has heavily been pesonalized. All the add-ons like the headliner are expensive to fit but while they would not gain much for a regular used RR I suppoese they rather lower the value of a CSK as its not genuine any longer and as such nothing more than an old Range Rover. And what you can get for this is what you have seen on ebay.

Just my 2ct...

Cheers
