Hi all
Just joined the site and thought I'd say hello. I'm the proud owner of CSK 022, registration number J11 VAH, which I bought from its first owner a couple of years ago, with just over 24,000 miles from new and a complete RR service history, MOTs etc.
It's led a very sheltered life on a private estate, and apart from rear lampguards is completely unmolested.
I've used it for several long-ish European trips and thoroughly enjoy it, and it's now covered just over 29,000 miles.
It shares garage space with several other classic cars, including a 1996 RR 25th Anniversary model which has covered only 11,000 miles from new. My CSK was featured in the December 2008 issue of 'Octane' magazine, along with 3 other classic-shape RRs.
In case anyone knows of any sub-50,000 mile CSKs, I have at least 2 friends who would love to buy one - mine is positively not for sale!
Finally, is anyone aware of any classic RR rallies or events taking place this year?
Best wishes
Simon

Simon,
29000 ...... ! You must be joking. Very fortunate, congrats and tell us about life with a new, just run in car. Apart from the new drivetrain, how has the body held up throughout these years?
As for classic RR ralies in the UK, I believe you could check with the Range Rover Register (http://www.rrr.co.uk). Here in The Netherlands we have the Range Rover Trust and the LandRover Club Holland organizing trips and rallies and I'm sure there must be plenty local classic car clubs that see tot some nice greenlaning in your area.
Take care and happy motoring,

In terms of other sub-40,000 cars; no.1 has done 25,000 and was offered for sale last year (albeit at a very high price) and mine has covered 32,000 miles.
CSK 109: Genuinely 34K miles, genuinely unrestored, genuinely in need of some TLC.
Re: CSK 022
I didn't realize this is the the very, very exclusive low-mileage-CSK-club.... I'm impressed, somewhat envyous and hope you'll keep your CSK's running for a long time to come. Well done!
I'm a driver who enjoys running his cars very regularly and not only on the proverbial sunny somer's sunday; Nr. 50 has just covered 119.250 miles.
(.... and she is in dire need of a new headlining. It looks like a bedouin tent back there; the kids love it, though. Gives them a sense of adventure. My sense of adventure was keeping an eye on the temperature gauge the other day, as I was loosing some coolant. Luckily proved to be a loose heater hose.
All the best,

RE SAGGING HEADLINING. NATIONWIDE TRIM IN REDDITCH SORTED MINE VERY REASONABLY.
Re: CSK 022
Read about Nationwide in the Haynes Restoration Manual. I'll be in the UK on several occasions coming spring, including a Birmingham-meeting. Might just bring the CSK along and pay them a visit, provided they'll be able to get it sorted in a single day. I'll give them a ring first. Cheers.

Re: CSK 022
I DROPPED MINE OFF IN THE A.M. PLAYED A ROUND OF GOLF (BADLY)AND PICKED IT UP AFTER LUNCH.
THE ONLY MISTAKE I MADE WAS THE COLOUR. I ODERED IT WITHOUT HAVING THE CAR THERE, AND I THOUGHT IT WAS BROWN. ON ARRIVAL IT BECAME APPARENT THAT I SHOULD HAVE ORDERED GREY!!!( THEY MAKE IT UP BEFORE YOU ARRIVE). ANYHOW BROWN LOOKS FINE.

Re: CSK 022
Good guys at Nationwide, but they did tell me to leave the car with them a couple of days as the headling fitting around the sliding roof is a bit of a pig to fit. I have had work done by them and they are first class. Easy to get to from B'ham, straight down the A435, just on the southern edge of Redditch.
