then add the new engine, gearbox, axles and props to the new chassis and mountain of other new bits, all from land rover and this is what you end up with,,

well thats the job done do far, just need a new distributor, set of injectors, and fuel pump plus a few other bits and then the whole chassis side is done. i have gone for a plastic fuel tank as fitted later, and have done away with the boge leveling unit so it will ride and corner alot better. i do hope you find these pics interesting maybe give you an idea of whats under neath your own csk.

regards, james.

Nice one! Looks really good! How long has it taken so far? Did you lift the shell as a whole unit?

hi, yes i lifted the shell off complete still with everything in it. you just need a 2 post lift and know where all the bolts and wires split. it has taken about 12 weeks on and off to reach this stage, but i recon that the body will take about double to do.

Looks fantastic! Does anyone on here know where you can find any kind of guide as to what/where the points are that have to be split are on a CSK in order to get the body lifted from the chassis? Would be helpful to know these things when the big day comes!

hi, i'm not sure if there are any books on the removal of the body, we have done a few range rovers over the years so we have got to know where the bits are.

wow. started a rebuild of my own. i'm stripping everything out of the body and then separating it from the chassis. bit restricted on space and cover (back garden). body and chassis is going for dipping to remove rust and then i'm going to have a lot of fun with a welder!
hope mine looks as good as yours!!!
oh the joys of a landrover product :D

These pics still make me insanely jealous!

The chassis / sills / wings etc. on mine could all use a bit of TLC... unfortunately I don't have the funds to spend on her just at the moment :(
