Hey folks have I got this right,A man known as Reynoldswetton has this CSK in Barnsley up for sale on e bay earlier in the year to sell after he stripped off the doors and took out the seats, asking price £3000 then withdrew it and was to sell later complete. The same car I think has just come up on e bay now in Kidderminster in a rough state for a fiver short of £7000.Are prices for these really going up that fast or is someone out to make a killing.
Think mine must have been Cheap.Number 43.

The price of this one is ridiculous. The chap clearly has no idea 1) what the car is worth or 2) what it's going to cost to put right.

It seems this CSK has had a (major) frontal shunt (cars don't get written off for a bent bumper) and it looks like a lot of the front end is twisted.

It's also missing the lower dash panel and has quite a few bits of the loom seemingly dangling meaninglessly downwards.

...worth about £2000 top whack!

Just thought I'd let you know this car is now in my 'safe' hands and is being restored.

Car was in pretty good nick really, accident damage is barely noticable, but of course at the time it happenned, 2008, CSK values were very low and it didn't take much damage to cause a CatD write off. Two little nicks on the front edge of the front wings, a tiny dent in the bonnet, the spoiler was also broken.

Engine started straight away once the distributer was fitted correctly! It had definitely been looked after in the past.

Now getting complete new front inner wings and headlight boxes, sills etc.

I'm after a passenger door lower trim panel which is oddly missing. Also missing is the ID plate and the 'book'.

Photo's will follow.

I'm in the process of finding out the ID number and then try to find the owner's book etc.

Well I've heard from a previous owner and it seems this is no 152. For some time it had the no plate CSK 158.

If anyone has any idea where the books or the dash mounted ID plate is I'd love to hear from you.

:)

With regards the lower door panel it would be possible to construct one yourself if you could find a match for the carpet.

If you could find a 4 door boot or rear floor carpet from the same age this would provide the right match in colour and also weave.

The backing is just normal door card, a good upgrade is to use marine ply. Normal spiral/fir-tree door card holders from a 4 door are the same and can be purchased from LRSeries.

Any photos of the CSK? :)

My mistake.... Another owner has confirmed it definitely as No52.

Which means I missed out on the owner's book back in March 2011. Albeit for over £400!!!

Has anyone here got it?

As for the door panel, I agree it should be pretty easy to make one, though I think I've found someone who has one!
