Re: Help needed (see also TechTalk - camshaft)
Stu, Thanks for your quick reply. I'm going to have a word tomorrow. Hope it's going to prove a simple and adequate solution. I did have a quick look around at the site of RPI-engineering - I understand they work miracles on the V8 - but that was a bit intimidating. Things that can go wrong or shoul...

Help needed (see also TechTalk - camshaft)
Gents, Just received my nr 050 back from the workshop with new camshaft, tappets, chaingear, waterpump and some loose change of bits and parts. She is now realy SLOW, unresponsive and sluggish. In the midrange speeds she has trouble accelerating when overtaking and at 3000 rpm everything seems to ha...

A slight ticking noise turns into a full overhaul
Hi gents, My nr 050 developed a slight tiking noise....and it turns into a serious overhaul. Great, just after X-mas... Last monday I brought my CSK into the workshop for some regular maintainance and my MOT. She wasn't ready at the end of the day and my mechanic told me it might take a little longe...

Re: Happy Christmas everyone :)
Cheers James! Happy holidays.
Holland came to a complete standstill with it's first serious snow since ages
Took nr. 050 to Scheveningen beach (5 mins drive) and was met with a full white-out. Great fun

Re: Ominous ticking - gearbox or propshaft
Hello Stuart,
Yes.... it is getting noticable after about 5 mins of driving (gearbox nicely warmed up?) and increases with the revs and is clearly lower when idling.
Any clue?
Robert

Ominous ticking - gearbox or propshaft
Gents, Yesterday I suddenly noticed an ominous ticking noice from the bowels of my nr 050, while engaged in gear. The ticking speeds up noticably while revving and disappears when I disengage the gears (N or P). This brings my to believe that the problem (?) is either the gearbox op the propshaft. A...

Re: Getting to kow your car... relays (HELP!)
hahaha Did mark it indeed... and I agree it's not the smartest way of operating... but it got the job done in the end. This weekend I'll get my manual back and will try mapping out the full relay-layout (a bit like the fuse-box: very handy)

Re: Getting to kow your car... relays (HELP!)
Couldn't wait any longer and stripped the footwellcovers and dashboardcover, removing every relay one after the other with the indicator on and replacing the empty socket with the new relay. Then - after 8 attempts - there was a blinking light!...Probably not the smartest DIY-mechanic's way to solve...

Getting to kow your car... relays (HELP!)
Goodmorning all, Having spent half the Easter Weekend on a wild goose chase, I am in dire need of your help. My arm is bit lame as the result of using it to indicate turns: the flasher-relay died/malfunctioned during a trip and I can't locate, let alone identify the correct relay. I bit dim, I agree...
