John,
Congratulations! So you're really addicted to two- door classics. When both your cars are in good condition, that might be a nice idea for an article in one of the LR magazines. At home I have a nice article about the comparison between a 1970 2-door RR and a 1991 2-door CSK. The article is called "The same but different", published in LRO, January 1994.

I will make a nice copy of the article for you if you like. I will take it with me to our "CSK gathering"!
Shall we meet on Saturday or on Sunday?

Re: Gaydon 2008
H3 CSK has finally gone into the bodyshop. Although we're hoping to have her out again in time for Gaydon it's a tight schedule. Might be in primer!
It really all depends on how bad the "tin worm" really is and that's only going to become crystal clear in the next couple of weeks as the car is dismantled and the welder looks for decent metal to strip back to!!!
One thing's for certain, and that's my "In Vogue" 2 door won't be there. I think the work on the CSK will be a good warm up for what's going to be required there.
I know it's not strictly CSK relevant but I'll post the occasional comment re the "In Vogue" here as well as people seem interested, and I am contemplating some ambitious ideas for that vehicle. It will all depend on how far gone it is, since restoring it to an authentic concours example isn't the plan as it's too decayed for that and I like to use my vehicles. So expect an "In Vogue" (remixed) sort of result, which might borrow quite heavily from the CSK approach to a 2 door... we'll see. It's going to take a while whatever I do.
Meanwhile I picked up a cheap 4 door EFi to run around in (LPG of course) while all the work goes on... It broke down 20mins after I collected it which was amusing with hindsight - one rotor arm later and all is well and it's whizzing around merrily. So I'll be at Gaydon in a Rangie - but who knows which one???

Re: Gaydon 2008
Gaydon is just over a month away now, so we need to decide pretty quickly whether we're going to meet up on the Saturday or the Sunday or both days.
Either the Sat. or Sun. suits me, but it's unlikely I can do both days... I'm tempted to suggest the Sunday as the most likely date people are free - what's everyone else's preference?

Re: Gaydon 2008
I just got an e-mail form Chris Elliot that the cavalcade run is nearly full. And the organizer HMC preferably only wants one! CSK participating the run.
Of course, we could display our CSK's. I believe that there would be place for 5 CSK. But you need to be on display between 9.00 hrs and 16.30 hrs on Sunday at the HMC. Guys is that an option? Or shall we do our own "CSK run"?? We have to make a decision, I think.
